Grave of the Fireflies (English Title) is a very tear jerking film by Isao Takahata released in 1988
the Film is about 2 siblings, its a brother-sister relationship..
2 innocent & orphaned kids fightin for survival durin the drastic era of the World War II when both their parents died., & they have nobody but each other to hold on to..
how they picked up the pieces despite the loss of a loved one & their will to carry on
faced life & moved on w/ a positive outlook against all odds..
& ended up in tragedy...
the movie shows life's struggles., how life can be such a bitch
how children's lives are as heartbreakingly fragile as their spirit
and how LOVE itself is inspiring...
sometimes we think that durin a war our enemy are those who try to raid or bomb us..
but in reality its the indifference & Helplessness of our very own country men
a more painful reality isnt it...
i ended up sobbing in tears as i cant help but remember a Very Special & Significant Person in my Life...
Life is Bittersweet...
i feLt Lucky i didnt have to go thru what Seita & Setsuko had to go thru.,
be thankful for all the blessings & graces im gettin
& realized that everythin can vanish in an instant., but Love remains to be permanent., its somethin u have both in Life & Death
a very touchin, movin, humblin & profound movie worth watchin
* id Like to thank Myke for sharin it w/ me & Idol Ben for givin me a DVD.. its the first day of the year.. im at home.. & juz watchin feel good movies ;)
