 in and out of Kinabalu City  \m/

KK is a small town in Malaysia. iv never expected that il be able to enjoy it here.

the only reason why i came here is to Hike. after Climbing i decided to look around & see the City for myself.

its a very simple town, the people are nice & Friendly.

if they dont talk Malay, i would mistaken them for a Filipino.

Yes. Malaysia is just like Home  ☺

 

it amuses me that from the time i got there, i havent seen a single traffic. 

thats the difference, in Manila.. ul see Traffic Everywhere!

i barely see modern cars too, i mostly see small vintage cars. now thats Cute!

i gotta ride the Bus only once, just for the sake of getting to Experience it.

i walked everywhere, its that small u dont even need to really drive out  ;)

The Food is OK. they have lesser spices i think. il b Bias to Pinoy food. SORRY =b

the moment i landed, the first thing i looked for is Street Food! Yeap, for some, they would look for 5 Star Restaurants, Fancy Dining but not for me... i Love Street Food & Malaysia didnt Disappoint me!!!

the Muslim Mosques got me Awed! 

i usually see this in Pictures & wondered how its like to be inside.

now i am here at its very doorstep! Awesome!

they dint allow us in since we're wearin skirts/shorts & i think u need to dress really all covered up before they allow you to.. we have to remember, this is their Sacred Place & i did pay it the proper Respect.

the Architecture is just Great. Beautiful Pillars!

next thing i made sure to see was the Proboscis Monkey. 

i got curious as to what they look like in person when i saw them in Animal Planet one time.

unlike any other monkey, they somewhat look human but w/ Bigger Noses & their Fur are a lil Blonde-like.

inside the Zoo, i found myself standing face to face with them & dumbfounded. i cant seem to keep my eyes off their stare. its as if im lookin at someone else, i feel like they're just another person. Their Eyes are so Beautiful i was literally Hypnotized! 

i was also lookin forward for an Elephant Ride. but unfortunately, its only available on WeekEnds & i have a flight to catch that afternoon goin home already. too bad. just settled starin at them Sway & Bathe away.

i was told that they Sway to Relax, you will never ever see a steady elephant i guess.

the Rhinoceros was one cool Beast too! when the Zoo Keeper went out to feed it, i feel like im gonna die.

haha.. i just got a lil bit scared. but the Rhino seem to be really comfortable w/ him already.

movin to the Aviary next, gosh! they made me Miss my LoveBirds back at home. :(

i have 5 birds (eye-ring & red-eye lotinos) by the Kitchen Grills then a pair by my Mom's Garden.

i miss hearin them Chirp so loud, they like serve as my alarm clock in the Morning.

well those are the Major things i did around the City, aside from walking around at night w/c is very peaceful & i felt safe. the Night Market aint that Bad, they Haggle too.. hehe

goin to banks to get me some money, goin to like 4 different malls (oh since i stayed in 2 different hotels when i went there, my first Hotel by the way is inside the Mall! w/ its own 7/11 & Gloria Jeans!) but its far away from the city.. a long drive.. you cant go anywhere else but inside the Mall.

my next hotel on the other hand is in the heart of the City.. where i have Access to almost Everything!

the Bars out there are OK too. they get to Play Filipino, Japanese & Korean Songs.
(that is really OK for me!) 

too bad there are a lot of places i havent been to though. if only i had much more time.

wasnt able to hit the beach. but maybe i can comeback for that. who knows.

before hopping on my plane goin home. we visited what they call the Signal Hill w/c Provided me a whole 360 Degree Scenic view of Kota Kinabalu City. 

takin one last look, inhaling one last air in Malaysia

i dont wanna cry cuz im leavin Happy. Goodbye! i hope to see you again real soon.
